Meijer Children's Garden

On one of those hot, miserable days last week, we took Noah to Grand Rapids to visit the Meijer Garden's.  Actually, we went just for the Children's part, and it was great for young children.  Noah LOVED the water areas where you could touch and play with the water.  He also had a great time on the boardwalk where it was made so kids couldn't really fall off of it.  The bridge in the fort was also a favorite for Noah. Highly recommended you bring a change of clothes however.

I think this was his favorite part.

The Great Lakes water area was pretty fun too

Noah liked the children's maze as well.

the sign below says "Please do not climb on the sculpture"...oh well.

the bridge in the fort, Noah made Ryan go across it a dozen times.

and we're outta here!

Noah thought Daddy should stay for a while.

Nowen's Playdate

Noah and Owen had another playdate.  I even cooked, Owen didn't seem to find my cooking acceptable, as it is the only food I've ever seen him refuse!  Then they played in the living room (outside was off-limits as it was nearly 100 degrees).  Owen and Noah both played on the CAT truck Noah got for his birthday, and boy did they have fun!

apparently Owen thought it needed fixing!

Lake of the Woods

On our way back from Three Oaks the other day, we stopped by the Mittans' at Lake of the Woods.  We had a wonderful dinner, and then we took Noah down to the beach area and let him play in the water.  At first he wasn't too sure about wandering around the water, but he got used to it pretty quickly, and then he was all over the place with no fear of the water whatsoever.

Impression 5

We recently took Noah to meet up with the Smiths' at Impression 5 museum, they just opened an infant/toddler play area.  It was wonderful for this age bracket.  Lots of stuff to keep them distracted.  They even had a new water table for kids to play in.  They provide rainjackets and crocs for kids to wear in the area so they don't get soaked and tracked mud from the shoes in.  Be forewarned, a change of clothes is still necessary, the jackets just soak up water.
