Future Spartans

Noah and Owen met at the playground to have a little fun.  They both looked so cute in their Spartan shirts and jackets.  Noah of course wanted to swing the afternoon away, he holds on to the swing like a big boy these days.  He also loves to slide, but given a choice, he loves to swing.
He also decided to start saying a few new words, "Noah", "Owen", "Brooke". Such a big boy these days!

Off to go slide!

Noah will sit and swing for hours if you let him

Weekend Wanderings

While Dad was away this past weekend, Noah and I went to visit Grandma Marci.  We took a field trip to Kensington Metro Park and met up with Aunt Theresa.  Kensington had a petting zoo (farm really).  Noah thought the sheep, goats, cows, ducks, horses were all pretty interesting.  He did not like the chickens however, he wanted nothing to do with them actually.  Inside the barn there were piglets that Noah was intrigued by, and they liked chewing on his shoes, and that made Noah laugh.  They chewed on his hand a little bit right before he stuffed the slimy pig hand into Mommy's mouth.  Ew.  Then he went outside  to visit the goat one last time, and had a gross open-mouth kiss with a goat. Awesome.
The next day we went to the playground where Ryan went to elementary school.  He enjoyed that a lot, however he really liked swinging, and was falling asleep in the swing.  I made him go home at that point, he was not pleased.  Apparently, he really wanted to sleep in the swing!

Coloring Buds

Owen invited Noah to come over and play with him this last Sunday.  Owen has a really nice little table with the perfect size chairs to go with them, and Noah loves it!  I guess this means I should bring in Noah's table now!  They had some fun coloring and running in circles.  They even ended the playdate with some hugs :)

I have no idea what Owen was doing.

On the couch together for a minute

Owen looks like he's going to eat Noah's leg.

Awww...Hugs :)

Children's Garden at MSU

On Monday I took Noah to the 4-H Children's Garden at MSU, if you haven't been there, kids love it!  It took me five minutes just to get him past the entrance with all the flowers.  He then spotted a life-sized cement sheep that it again took forever to get him away from!  A college class came through about then and they were all smiling at him and watching him which made him smile and then he hid, he got really shy.  Other highlights were the water fountains, the maze, and the sandbox.  He loved them all.  At the end there was a copper statue of a person reading a book with a bird sitting on that book.  Noah kept climbing onto the bench to check her out, he really wanted the bird.
he loved these flowers, I had to drag him away from them

this sheep was his new best friend.

Playground Fun

On Labor Day we took Noah to Lockwood to play on the playground.  It's finally cool enough to take him out and not get devoured by mosquitos!  It was his second trip of the day, the first trip he actually held on to the swing and did it all by himself, and when he was done, he declared "all done" and got down gracefully.  Round 2 of that, his dismount was nearly as graceful.  But he had a lot of fun, and he was a tired little guy by the time we got him home.

he loved running across this bridge repeatedly

Noah laughing as Dad kept jumping over him

did I mention he likes climbing the slides and then sliding back down?!?!

"Um no Mom, playtime is definitely NOT over!"
