Impression 5

I recently took Noah back to Impression 5 ( I had been avoiding the Mom's there with Coach diaperbags for a few months), and to my surprise they had redone a large section of the museum.  There is now a Michigan Nature Area to play in, as well as a large section from the cartoon "Magic School Bus".  Noah loved both the new areas.  His favorite was still the music area where he rocked out on the piano. Of course the water table in the toddler room is always a favorite too.

Kalamazoo Nature Center

We took Noah to the Kalamazoo Nature Center, and of course he loved it.  Noah is fascinated by fish, bugs, and birds.  We played in the center for a while before heading out on a walk, of which Noah sat the entire time on my shoulders, but he enjoyed it nevertheless.

he kept calling the frog "a butt", no idea why.

he loved playing on the ice.

Feeding the Ducks!

I made the mistake of taking Noah to the island to feed the ducks last week, apparently his mind is now a complete memory trap. Yesterday when I took Noah to the coffee shop, he indeed remembered going to look at the ducks the prior week. We finally went over to the island with a couple pieces of bread to feed them. The ducks come running as soon as they see a human, begging for food. Even when you run out, they hang out and start nipping you! They followed Noah around a few minutes, and nipped him, Noah did not like that one bit.

all the ducks came running

Noah was a little befuddled by the ducks

the bread is all gone, and Noah takes off

but the ducks aren't having that, they want more, so they follow Noah

And then they nip him, he wasn't too pleased.

Indian Springs Metro Park

Noah made another trip to Indian Springs Metro Park, one of his favorite places, it has a big bubble room underneath the pond so that you can see all the fish.  Noah also likes the way the room echoes, the way the ramp goes down, you know, plenty of room to run, play, admire fish.  Perfect for him!
To top the trip off, Ryan and Grandpa Bob spotted the first Snowy Owl to be seen in the park!  Beautiful bird!

he thought Grandma should let him climb all over.

and he's off again!

Cousin Kennedy

Noah had a playmate this year at Christmas, his cousin Kennedy!  Since they are the two closest in age, they of course played together.  They spent a lot of time chasing each other through the house and playing on the chair.  He really liked Kennedy, as all the hugs he gave her should tell you.  She was such a sweetie to him too!
