Slides, Nets, and Bridges

I took Noah over to the elementary school again. Obviously, he went for the big kid play area again. This wouldn't be so bad except for the really tall twist slide, and the bridge he can run across and fall very easily off. Actually, the whole thing is an injury waiting to happen. Luckily, Noah is pretty coordinated and does exceptionally well on the playset. He climbed up to the big slide and went down all by himself, and without incident (I was terrified). He also climbed the net all the way up and ran across the bridge repeatedly. No injuries!

Valhalla Park

Noah and Owen went to Holt to go play at a really nice park.  The park had a toddler area, but of course, they headed for the big kids area shortly after arriving.  Luckily they did well on that and only gave me a handful of scares.  Noah found some drums to beat on, however he didn't feel the urge to share with Owen.  In the past week Noah has suddenly been acting mean and shoving or biting people who make him angry.   So after he shoved Owen, he got a timeout, and then another one, and another.  He was NOT on his best behavior unfortunately.

Splish Splash!

I took Noah to a splash pad this past weekend.  I wasn't sure how well he would like it, as last year he wasn't too sure about the icy cold water spraying at him.  He did seem to like it this year, but the water is spring fed so it is COLD.  I think it wore him out pretty quickly, but he enjoyed it nevertheless.

Noah was having a lot of fun

Mooville

We met the Smith's at Mooville to go to their FREE petting zoo and then to eat some ice cream.  Ice cream is the only sweet thing that Noah will eat, vanilla soft-serve ONLY.  Noah and Owen ran around looking at the cows, the goats, the pig, the chickens (which Noah chased round and round the henhouse), and the horse.   They finally played in the sandpit and Noah found a truck he really liked, and he pushed it up and down the small hill, repeatedly.

Noah's First Campout

Ryan wanted to camp out with Noah in our backyard.  Ryan got the tent out, and Noah helped unroll it and set it up.  I wasn't too sure Noah would actually sleep in the tent, but to my utter amazement, he slept all night there, not even waking up in the thunderstorm.

South Haven

One Sunday afternoon we decided to take Noah over to Van Buren State Park just south of South Haven.  Noah hadn't been to the beach since we were in South Carolina, so I was wondering how he would act here.  The beach had a lot of rocks, so he couldn't play in the surf too much because of that, but he seemed to have fun nevertheless.
